The Release Queue enables the secure release of print jobs via a web browser. To enter the print jobs into the Release Queue, the user sends his print jobs to an input printer.
This input printer has to have the workflow element Enter Release Queue in its workflow for the print jobs to be shown in the Release Queue. We strongly recommend to create the necessary input and output printers by means of the two pre-configured printer wizards Secure Print – Input Printer or Secure Output Printer using uniFLOW Release Queue Management.
Before the users can print out their print jobs, they – depending on the specific uniFLOW configuration – have to login to the Release Queue first. The login method can be defined in the Server Configuration under Server Config. /General Settings /RQM Web.
Here, the administrator can select which of the following logon methods:

|•||Logon with user name and PIN code:|
|•||Logon with Card Number / Job Code:|
shall be enabled. Please also refer to RQM Web for more information about the different login methods and parameters.

Show print settings:
If set to yes the users can select the print order for outputting print jobs in the Release Queue Management screen.
An info text can be entered here, which will be displayed on the Info site of the RQM. Here you can give the users some hints about how to work with the RQM Web, or display an Email address for help or information.
The Release Queue Management screen can be reached via the website http://<IP-uniFLOW-server>/pwrqm of the uniFLOW Server. User entries can be made by keyboard or touch screen.
If you click on Display in the section Touch screen, another login screen with the touch screen opens.
After a successful login the Release Queue Management screen opens, in which all the print jobs in the Release Queue of the logged in user are listed. By mouse click the users can select the print jobs they want to print or delete and select the output printer on which they want to print out their print job(s).
In the drop-down list Print order, if this has been enabled under General Settings in the Server Config., the user can select either Print Date (ascending) or Current Sorting. The default setting is Print Date (ascending). This means, that selected print jobs will be printed on the selected printer in FIFO order (FIFO = first in first out). This FIFO output sorting works irrespective of the print date sorting currently displayed. If Current Sorting is selected, the print jobs will be output according to the print date sorting currently displayed. The displayed print date sorting can be reversed by clicking the arrow next to Print Date. In the drop-down list Printer: the users can select the printer for outputting their selected jobs.
To physically print out jobs, the user has to proceed as follows:
|1.||Select one or several jobs by clicking the check boxes next to a print job.|
|2.||Select the print order as explained above.|
|3.||Select the output printer as explained above.|
|4.||Click the Print+Delete button next to the Refresh button.|
In projects it is also possible to combine a card reader identification with the RQM in which case the Release Queue is used as an ID station. In this case, part of the users identifies and prints via the RQM, another part uses an ID card. This of course presupposes a corresponding configuration in uniFLOW, i.e. a workflow with the Branch to Users Processors workflow element and a specific configuration on user, group or cost center level.
