The Image Log Module (ILM) captures all print, scan, fax, and copy activity company-wide or at departmental level for auditing and heightened security. Captured images can be further processed by uniFLOW and handed over to a DLP system. The ILM is the successor of Canon iW SAM. Canon iW SAM is discontinued for Canon MEAP devices sold after 2022 so it has been replaced by the new Image Log Module introduced with uniFLOW 2023 LTS. ILM is supported on devices in 2022 and onwards.

In a mixed environment of legacy and new devices both iW SAM and ILM can be combined into a single installation. Canon iW SAM is used for legacy devices (sold prior to 2022) and ILM is used for devices sold after 2022.
